My Bio
who is MARIANA?
From Porto, Portugal, Mariana is a singer-songwriter who spills her truth into song. Her voice and interpretation leave a mark on everyone who hears them, carried by a pop sound rooted in soul and a singer-songwriter's heart.
Influenced by contemporary artists such as Adele, Lana Del Rey and Olivia Dean, and by the greats — Stevie Wonder, Lauryn Hill and Ella Fitzgerald — her music is forming into a timeless sound of its own. Having sung her whole life, she brings an unbreakable strength and passion to every performance.
During three years in London studying Songwriting at ICMP, Mariana performed her originals with a full live band to near-capacity crowds at venues including The Camden Club and The Jago. One of those shows caught the attention of a private investor, who brought her to record at the iconic Abbey Road Studios.
In June 2026 she released her debut single, "Half Opened Gates", a song about getting lost in a situationship and slowly realising that what you give has to come back to you. Its official music video is out now on YouTube. Soon after, she won an emerging artists competition run by Mega Hits, one of Portugal's biggest national radio stations. The win earned her a spot on the station and a feature on its social media.
Next come "Lovable" (November 2026) and "Don't Make Me Cry" (early 2027). Now back in Portugal, Mariana is studying jazz and working on her first EP. Bilingual in English and Portuguese, it tells the story of losing her voice and finding it again, moving between pop ballads, soul, R&B, jazz and bossa nova, with a touch of fado.
